Reunion 2000 was held on Sunday February 27, at Thunderbird Lanes in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Forty-one alumni attended this first ever Chicago area reunion. We were fortunate to meet Loretta Kuklin, Steve's Mom, prior to the reunion. She shared her rememberances of camp on video tape. Her thoughts, as well as an interview with oe Rosen, Skipper's original partner in camp, and other reunion highlights are available on our Videos page!

What we did . . .
This reunion served two purposes: 1) Meet and interview Loretta Kuklin and Joe Rosen, and 2) Get Camp Waupaca for Boys alumni together in the Chicago area. Not everyone is interested in going back to camp to reminisce, so it made sense to do a gathering in Chicago. Meeting Loretta and Joe was amazing, as they both handed us lots of artifacts, like slides, photos, and yearbooks.
Reunion Wrap-Up (Time Capsule) . . .
One of the time-honored traditions of Camp Waupaca, especially in the Trail's End yearbook, was to write a time capsule after each season. In a few short paragraphs, the essence of the season gone by is recaptured in summary fashion. We continue this tradition with each reunion. CLICK HERE to view the time capsule for the 2000 reunion.
Photos and Videos . . .
