This year there were 3 get togethers that were well attended and well documented! The first one was held in Omaha, Nebraska in July. The second one was held in Chicago on August 7. And the third one was held in Waupaca from August 17-21. Surprise, surprise: one of us did NOT attend any gatherings in 2005!
One of the time-honored traditions of Camp Waupaca, especially in the Trail's End yearbook, was to write a time capsule after each season. Reunion in Omaha! So the Ringel brothers (Marc and Paul) headed to Omaha for a good steak. That and some college baseball. Who do they run into while they're in town? Harlan Rips! The "Boys from Stratton Lake" schmooze, catch some great baseball, eat, and reminisce about their days as boys at Camp Waupaca.

AUGUST 7 IN CHICAGO
The Chicago reunion involved a choose-up softball game (NOT at the Near Diamond) on Sunday August 7, 2005. Not much else is known about this other than the list of attendees and these photos:

AUGUST 17-21 IN WAUPACA
The "pièce de résistance" of the summer was our annual trek to Waupaca. Making the trip were: Ed Lubejko, Mike Lurie, Dan Lyon, Rick Passman, and Warren Metzdorff. We were fortunate to spend some quality time at camp exploring, thanks to the then director of CYJ!
