Plagued by the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, this reunion was a difficult one to plan. Would CYJ allow us to rent during the pandemic? Would we have enough interest to warrant the effort? Well, YES and YES!!! During a visit to Waupaca in 2019, we discussed this special reunion with CYJ Director Robin Anderson. We explained that this was the 70th anniversary of the first summer of Camp Waupaca For Boys in 1951. And it's also the 25th anniversary of our first on-site reunion in 1996.
One of the time-honored traditions of Camp Waupaca, especially in the Trail's End yearbook, was to write a time capsule after each season. We always put together a full and detailed itinerary for our reunions, including activites for the "advance team" who arrive days early to prepare for the reunion.
